These activities allow the lowering and / or retrieving tools in a alive well (under pressure) through the use of a special steel wire (harmonic) with a diameter of 0.108 "- 0.125" - 0.140 ". The tools run can be instruments for measuring well data (i.e. pressure and temperature), for manipulation of well components (safety valves, circulation valves, plugs, etc.) or for well intervention (i.e. fishing operation).The tool string (composed of fishing neck + stem weight bars + tool specific for the operation to be performed) is connected to the wire after it has been passed through the stuffing box and then inserted in the lubricator; all is raised and connected to the BOP on top of the wellhead. At this point, the well can be opened and the operation carried out in the conditions of maximum safety.
It uses a mono-conductor electrical cable with an outer armature of 5 - 6 millimeters diameter which creates a pathway for electrical telemetry and communication between the surface and the equipment at the end of the cable. The Well Head Equipment is the same as the Slickline one if not for the stuffing box that in this case becomes a flow-tube as the hydraulic seal on the 'rough' surface of the armored cable is achieved by injecting special grease (sealing). The electric-line is used in all those operations in which continuous monitoring is required like production logging, well pressure build up in SRO, video camera as well as of well intervention and pipe recovery operations.
It is a continuous tube of steel (coiled tubing) usually with diameter from 1 inch to 1.5 inches. Dajan offers instead a light version with diameters starting from ¼ ". This tube is wound on a drum driven by a suitable hydraulic power unit. The hydraulic seal on the tube is carried out using the appropriate stuffing box (stripper); the presence of a lubricator (riser / s) and a BOP is required to allow the release and recovery of the equipment from the well while a special injection head serves for the movement of the tube into / out from the well. The coiled tubing allows to move and then to perform a variety of tasks such as: washing, facelift, injection of chemicals, acid treatments, cementing and, if equipped with appropriate equipment also Housekeeping and millings.
Long stroke hydraulic surface pumping units (Articial lift)
These are last generation hydraulic pump unit, which can reach a stroke length to over 9 meters, used in the field of artificial lift. The pumpjack is the surface unit commonly used for this purpose; these pumps have structural limits which limit the stroke length to a maximum of 5 meters and the strokes per minute to a maximum of 12-15 SPM; this to reduce the problems of resistance / fatigue and then rupture and wear rods . Sice the flow rate of a pump is calculated by the piston diameter x stroke length x rounds per minute, it appears obvious that higher flow rates and advantages can be achieved by increasing the stroke length and reducing the number of strokes. Additionally the long stroke hydraulic surface pumping units bring advantages in ease of installation, compact size, computerized management and maintenance costs / ownership.
Wellhead compressor unit
Their typical application is the 'dewatering' in the so-called marginal wells. They are small compression unit , powered by the same produced gas or by electricity, installed on wells that are no longer capable of delivering (get in line) because of the low wellhead pressure. Lower well head pressure, based on the relation between pressure / speed / flow rate triggers also the phenomenon of keeping liquids in the well (water and / or gasoline) that with their presence contribute to the obstruction of gas production. The compressor compress the gas and increase the well head pressure to values such as to be able to enter into the production pipeline. The unit are also equipped with a small separator that allows the recovery and dispose of any liquids.
