Excellence Logging, a leading provider of oilfield services and launched by Bluewater in 2015, today announced that it has signed a definitive agreement with Well Services Group (WSG), a Dutch company, to acquire the WSG Well Intervention business, comprising coiled tubing, slickline and well testing services.

Excellence Logging successfully participated in the 14th international Petroleum Technology conference (IPTC-22) hosted in Riyadh. 

Excellence Logging has announced that co-founders Bruno Burban and Benoit Debray will be retiring in May although both will be remaining as advisors to the company.  Mr Burban will also continue as a member of the Board of Directors..

Excellence Logging announces that Mr. Kenneth Murdoch has tendered his resignation as Chief Financial Officer with immediate effect, and that Mr. Pierre-Henri Boutant, currently Group Controller, will assume the role of Chief Financial Officer.

Excellence Logging, along with every operator or service company in the upstream oil and gas sector, is being hit by a sharp drop in the demand for oil and gas driven by the economic impact of the Coronavirus pandemic, coupled with a precipitous drop in the market price of oil and gas caused by an oversupply of crude oil and gas to this depressed demand market.

Excellence Logging Limited’s Board of Directors has appointed John Lechner as Chief Executive Officer, replacing Bruno Burban, effective as of April 1st, 2020.  Mr. Burban will remain with the company as President Founder & Chief Technology Director.
