Excellence Logging’s Board of Directors appoints new CEO

Excellence Logging Limited’s Board of Directors has appointed John Lechner as Chief Executive Officer, replacing Bruno Burban, effective as of April 1st, 2020.  Mr. Burban will remain with the company as President Founder & Chief Technology Director.

Mr. Burban commented: “Since his arrival in October 2019, John has demonstrated a real ability to quickly learn and understand Excellence Logging’s business, culture, and values. His experience covers many domains and enables him to clearly position Excellence Logging services within the oilfield services world, to appreciate the technologies, and to lead the team effectively.”

Mr. Lechner thanked Mr. Burban “for pouring his heart and soul into the expansion of Excellence Logging over the past five years.  Our continuous growth becoming the leading worldwide independent mud logging and production services company is a result of Bruno’s leadership, drive and passion during this journey.”  Mr. Lechner said that during his last six months in the position of Chief Operating Officer that he was “impressed by the dedication, technology focus and enthusiasm of the entire Excellence Logging organization.  Over the coming years I look forward to leading Excellence Logging’s global workforce with a focus on safely delivering peerless technical service quality and maintaining our leadership within mud logging innovation as well as customer-driven production service packages.”

Mr. Lechner has more than 35 years of oilfield experience having worked in the European, African, Russian, North American, Middle Eastern and Far Eastern markets.  His introduction to the oilfield was running land and offshore open and cased hole wireline services, before switching his technical focus to drilling in which he held Operations and Business Development roles in with Schlumberger, Parker Drilling and OiLSERV.  He was Chief Executive Officer of Archer Limited before joining Excellence Logging.
